Another report by Car News China, from January 2023 mentions figures of 299 to 326 horsepower (220 to 240 kilowatts) and 236 to 309 pound-feet(320 to 420 Nm), which brings total system output to 1,304 horsepower (959 kilowatts) and 1,239 pound-feet (1,680 Nm). Those larger figures may end up being true for the upcoming sports car that would bear the U9 designation. With that said, the BYD Yangwang U8 SUV will be capable of performing the 0 to 60 mph (97 km/h) sprint in under 3.0 seconds.
